It wasn't about sex. He got aggressive about people he liked, trying to protect them, or trying to force Bruce away from them. Maybe it was the same thing to Hulk.
"We feel the same things. What I care about, he cares about. What I hate, he hates. And it leads to... a lot of smash, really. An awful lot smash. Not of those people. Other things. Everything." He didn't want to have to explain the darker bits, of what Hulk hated most. But he didn't want to hurt Jarvis either.
